Bought a new Vodafone Postpaid connection - Have queries

I am not in my home city and my dad has bought a new vodafone connection for me. He took the postpaid 299 plan and i am unsure about the details fully. But he told me that he has been given some 4GB card (not idea what card) to use 4GB Data in one month. I have not clue what this card and is and what and how much data i am getting and whether it is EDGE or 3G.Anyone here has any clue as to what this is ?He took the SIM today morning only from vodafone gallery and they told it will be activated in 3-4 days. I too feel that. Just that the plan is 299 postpaid which has some X minutes and such. I am not sure about the exact plan details. I wont be able to find out before coming monday.
