I have used both Dell and Sony. My 6 year old Sony is still going strong. Take the one with the maximum warranty.

"But the CPU benchmark for this laptop is 2600 versus 2900 for core i3 third genereation." Don't buy an overkill. Evn a dual core 2nd gen is enough for your requirement. But it's just my personal opinion ...
