In the comming weeks the ITU is going to hold a summit overhauling the internet. They want UN control of the internet and nations control the dns system.
unlike usa which has absolute free speech, other nations do not have.

Well it was good times. From 1999-2012 ,13 yrs i had free net but after 2004 we were under constant surveillance. The gates burst open in 2009 after the passage of it act.
Now it is end game
Secret UN Document Lays Out Plan to Seize Control of Internet

"A draft of the proposal, formulated in secret and only recently posted on the ITU website for public perusal, reveal that if accepted, the changes would allow government restriction or blocking of information disseminated via the internet and create a global regime of monitoring internet communications — including the demand that those who send and receive information identify themselves."

i am not really impressed with how the US is handling the internets. the attack on -- link removed -- is a good example. taking away domains owned by torrent search engines is another. so it's not like USA is doing a phenomenal job.
