Upgraded to Reliance Thunder 1099 4Mbps no FUP Broadband Plan!

Hey guys! i'm from chennai and i've been using reliance for more than 3 years...No problems with them so far!
i got my plan changed 3 days ago to Thunder 1099 4Mbps...excited yay!
Average download speed = 420 KBps
Average Upload speed = 65 KBps
So is this the maximum speed i can get?...or can i do something to increase it?

The Answer is 'NO',
You are wrong here. They have given ADSL2+ Modem/Router that can handle upto 8 Mbps..read somewhere. The problem is that the technicians are not aware/interested in increasing the downstream rate.

You can increase the speed if u know the local technician personally.

R u talking about Metro Ethernet? ME users get 4+ Mbps download/upload speed.

The Answer is 'NO', how can you get more DL Speed on 4Mbps, Stop craving for more the moment you got this plan, you are indeed getting good Speeds Ul Speeds compared to indian ISPs standards, if you really want more UL Speeds like more than 8 to 20Mbps you have to wait for another couple of years, maybe now in 2015 Reliance will increase their Speeds, till then Enjoy your current Speeds cause Reliance really won't be increasing their Speeds for many years to come, peace.🙂
My Neighbour has 4Mbps Airtel and he gets around 470 KBps Avg DL speed....why cant i get then?

Im on ADSL. I dint do any optimization, however did a little trick. (Raised complaints over slow speed issue several time with reliance cc & here is the result). Hope i get METRO soon.

Pls post your modem interface screenshot here. Most of the users are affected by this speed issue.
