Why Doesn't MTV Play Music Videos Anymore?

Trust me, I have been asking myself the same question since 2002/2003 when MTV (MTV India I mean) decided to cut down music slots by 60%. And then it was all about reality shows the entire day except for the 7-11 slot in the morning. However, if I am not wrong, MTV India has improved after a mass feedback just two years back. They even launched shows like Coke Studio@MTV, MTV Roots, MTV Unplugged, MTV Grind, MTV Top 20, etc which were purely music based shows. They have even cut down on the reality shows these days (apart from a famous few like Roadies, Splitsvilla, etc). If you ask me about MTV America, I must say that the channel is getting worse by the day, but yes, we the current generation are somehow responsible for this as we steal music...!! But still, MTV stands for Music Television, and the channel must live up to its name..!
 
I do not think they have a full form of their channel any more. It's just MTV with no full form. 🙂

Actually, MTV was cool in the mid and late 90s because it was handled by producer cyrus oshidar and his invention of a language called "bombay cool".
