Do we have a win 8 discussion thread where we can post our queries?I can not enter symbol contained in e-mail addresses. How do i access network and connection settings and mouse and touchpad settings?

😀set your keyboard to english us. i noticed that it had set my keyboard to uk too... uk keyboards apparently has @ sign at a different location. just load control panel in explorer or search for it and you would find all the options there.

worked for me. Surprising that special characters are mapped differently on UK keyboards
cool cool. i checked photos of UK keyboards online, they looked similar to ours! no idea why @ was mapped at around {} keys (i had to turn on software keyboard to see what was going on). so it was probably some other issue. switching to english us solved it for me.
