How to upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 8 Pro

I guess laziness has its effects. All I had to do was to go to MSDN, download Windows 8 Pro. As my internet was a bit slow, I took the ISO from a colleague, did not check whether its Windows 8 pro, now I realised that I am in Windows 8.Some one can please tell me ways to upgrade from windows 8 to windows 8 pro, I dont want to format my machine again.BTW what are the benefits of Windows 8 Pro?

I guess you can upgrade to Pro from the below screenshot. Not sure about the benifits of Pro version. MS gave me this as default when I was upgrading from Win 7.

u r running windows 8 pro edition but windows 8 pro edition dont have media codec support like windows 7 did but u can still use VLC or any other player to play ur media files 🙂

I dont think so, WMP is playing all .avi formats in my computer. Is that what you are trying to say?

You can get remote desktop via app 😀

great!BTW people still use Windows media player?I last used it in windows 98. Always used third party media players!

Yeh, Havent used media player since ages. But for the testing purpose I tried playing some .avi files. BTW, WMP has come of ages since Win 2000 days.
