Honda Amaze

I wonder if Honda is going to do a Maruti and use the same damn engine in everything ranging from Brio to Amaze to Jazz to City and why not Accord and CR-V!

Its a 1.5 litre. Would be a decent fit in all those cars except Accord and CR-V. Though they already have a 2.2 litre diesel engine for those which is very popular in Europe.

Its not meant to compete with Verna, Vento etc. That's for the City to do.

I was talking about the diesel sedan s only.

Hopefully Brio gets it too. City definitely needs it. It has been killed by Vento and other diesels in the same segment.

I remember read somewhere that they are planning for the same engine but 3 cylinder pot for Brio.

3 cylinder would be sad but still. It would be a Honda and with a diesel! Sadly, Indian government is succeeding in making diesel cars look not so good buy with frequent hikes.

To be fair, you buy a sedan over a hatchback if your requirement is for a sedan 🙂

Yeah bootspace and 1 extra fellow space but you'll compromise in the quality.
