Improving Signal Quality

We reside in out skirts of Hyderabad and the signal level here is too low that the Hathway Set up box could not catch them. How can we boost the signal so that my set top box works.Our local cable service provider is a moron and he does nothing to improve the signal quality.

You cable operator has to install signal boosters to improve the signal quality. Also, he needs to make sure that the area in which he is operating, all the cables are properly connected using connectors rather than directly joining them.

How much a booster costs, can we install it individually? How about buying an amplifier?

Even amplifier should do but I am not sure how much will it cost.

they wont reply they may be knowing nothing about the problem
i asked them from 1st nov can i select the channels i want so i can pay for only that channels which i want
they told this cant be done it is only for CAS area. i think it is compulsory for all operators to give options of choosing channels .

NOW ALSO after removing analog channels pic quality is bad for some channels. like Sony channel i cant see the face of actor if i go close to tv and the shot is long shot . in closeup shot i can see who is the actor. i really mean it .

Issue resolved after repeated requests.Our cable operator has improved the signal quality from January.
