here is a snapshot of the twitter app from the mozilla firefox marketplace. works very nicely if you have a stable net connection. full screen with less space wasted.
 
it's basically a shortcut running their mobile site in a wrapper. something that native browsers do not do very nicely.

lol. i created a bookmark shortcut on my homescreen. when i try to load it i get this:

twitter does not have a mobile web app for tablets. you should check out tweetlanes. it is not really optimized for tablets. but does has some optimizations for 7" displays.
