quad core goodness and super high resolution display in 4 inches.... interesting.... if these specs are the real thing then the s3 branding doesnt make sense... it is more like a redesigned Galaxy s2 only..

it would attract more customers with the s3 branding. people with a smaller budget would prefer to go for this s3 mini rather than device with another branding.

Samsung said those folks don't necessarily need or want the most powerful phone they can get their hands on and are content to have mid-level specs -- so the mini carries a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, a 4-inch, WVGA AMOLED screen and 32GB max of memory.

The button placement is identical to the larger handset, and the phone will come out of the box with nearly identical Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean functionality -- with the added Samsung TouchWiz twist, of course.

if priced right, it should do incredibly well in the market!

i wonder if note 2 is also getting a mini version in the near future 😀

lol. Galaxy s iii is essentially note ii mini. so it should have been... galaxy note iigalaxy note ii mini (galaxy s iii)galaxy note ii micro (galaxy s iii mini)they should launch a model with 3.7 inches and name it s iii micro or note ii nano.

apparently the specifications of this phone are weaker than Galaxy s ii.

Even I tried comparing it with S2 😀 . In way it sort of confirmed that if the specs are better than they may charge more than the 25-odd they are charging for S2 even now.
