Connection between bsnl broad band and landline

Hi,I was thinking of taking a bsnl broad band connection. I have a landline connection for a long time. But off-late the connection is bad, in the sense that the calls are very noisy and some frequently the calls getting cut. Despite several complaints to BSNL no stern action from them yet. Do you think it is wise to go for a broadband connection with this landline or would you suggest me to go for something else?Thanks,
 
Apply for a broadband connection + a new line , after that has been installed, get this one disconnected, or if you need the current number, subscribe to a combo plan on the new line and save on the landline rent on the new connection.
