I recently relocated to chennai & looking for good ISP in taramani. My requirements include: 1. Installation charges max @ Rs15002. Monthly plan @ Rs 1000 (including all taxes)3. My Downloads will be around 60-70 GB per month4. 2mbps speed till FUP and 1mbps speed after FUP (512kbps after FUP is ok...but 1mbps will be great)5. No torrent restriction/speed reduction6. Good customer care & less downtimesIt will be great if FUP limit is 30-40 GB and prepaid connection.I don't care if it is wired/wireless connection. Please suggest some good ISP options.PS: I don't have permanent address proof here, so it seems BSNL is out of choice.

Tough to get one that would meet "all" your requirements.

Ok then...can you suggest any plan with 2mbps at around Rs1000 with atleast 30GB FUP

Problem is Airtel has changed it strategy in basic plans such that you pay 649 or so , but continue to get high speeds till you reach a bill of 2000. If not you need to choose a plan which would be close to 1500 I thinkReliance is cheapest, but people have had varied results with them. So goes for Hathway (I have had bad experience with both in my area) Guys like spectranet might be worth a try, but no clue about their service..

My bike is of tamilnadu registration. Will they accept my VEHICLE Registration Certificate which has my current address

Reliance Freedom 999 / Night Zoom 999 will suit my need. But after seeing reviews here I'm scared.Anyone using these plans in chennai please reply.

^Two people on this forum, AFAIK with experiences that are poles apart 😛Yes, vehicle reg should do fine.

Can anyone tell which ISP has best speed gear plans (like unlimited @1 or 2mbps for one night or on weekend)in chennai? Will these speed gear plans also have FUP or truly unlimited for entire night/weekend?

This is really getting horrible.Sify has got nice speed booster plans while reliance has got good FUP compared to others. But I'm utterly disappointed that there is no coverage for both in my area where 2 IT parks exists within 2km.I never expected this situation will come in chennai.Need to check with airtel but I'm afraid they will charge@1500-1800 which will not suit my budget. Also need to check with tata indicom broadband.Any one using TATA/Airtel please reply.

Is telephone connection mandatory for both airtel & bsnl? I wish some ISP must exist in chennai just like beam@hyderabad/mtnl@mumbai with affordable plans.

Max 80 GB is Rs. 1699. So, if Max 175 exists, it should be like Rs. 2099 or Rs.2199. But, why no Turbo 175!?
