in a conspiracy thinking, the rupee is being devalued as a devalued currency creates a grip of the elite and bankers on the nation and benefits some point in time in future.on the other hand technically ,enough is enough devaluation has been far stretched and a 10-15 years of sideways or appreciation move is now expected.

over the past 4 years or so, there has been massive printing of "$" paper currency, of late, even "euro" paper currency printing is underway. correspondingly there is no such thing in "rupees" yet rupee weakens day by day..... that too with substantial "$" money into india. aren't we giving value to what is otherwise a piece of "newly printed" waste paper ? the amount of gold imports / per capita/family gold holdings in india is the highest in the world (indian public collectively hold gold which even the central banks of these strong currencies don't hold).
