SP plans Third Front, Congress says Delhi far away
Cong dismisses Mulayam`s criticism, possible Third Front
Mulayam

Mulayam Singh has already started dreaming of possible govt at Center by Third Front (Non BJP, Non Congress) :)
‘Rahul Gandhi is not good enough. He cannot run the country. Look for options beyond him.’ This, in short, is what senior Samajwadi Party leader Mohan Singh conveyed without saying as much today. It by far is the most brutal attack on the Congress general secretary, who his party leaders believe would someday play the great deliverer for them, from a supposedly friendly party. And its implications are hard to ignore.

To begin with, it means the UPA-Samajwadi Party marriage of convenience is over. The latter may not bail the UPA government out with its numbers next time it is in a crisis. It also points to a sharp deterioration in the Congress-Samajwadi Party relations at the leadership level. Mohan Singh would not have made such a blistering statement on someone whom the Congress holds so precious without the approval of his party chief Mulayam Singh.

And they have chosen Rahul as their target :)

SP should rather remove support of UPA, and put UPA to test in confidence vote in Parliament. Only then they can criticize Congress/UPA govt.

Mulayam Singh Yadav admits PM ambitions - The Times of India
Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav Wednesday made clear his prime ministerial ambition, saying he was not a saint, and pointed out that if H.D. Deve Gowda could get a chance to occupy the post, such an opportunity could come before his party also.
"It depends upon the opportunity. Even Deve Gowda got such an opportunity. So such an opportunity can come before the Samajawadi Party also. There can be no prophecy in politics."
"My party will not campaign (on making me prime minister). But I am not a saint," Mulayam Singh told media persons here to queries whether he wanted to become the prime minister.

That day would be worst day (when Mulayam becomes PM) of Indian history.

http://www.ndtv.com/elections/article/election-2014/jayalalithaa-s-alliance-with-left-almost-over-say-sources-491758?pfrom=home-otherstories
Less than a fortnight after 11 parties stitched up a third front to take on the Congress and the BJP in the general elections beginning next month, it is coming apart at the seams with J Jayalalithaa refusing to give in to ally Left's demand for six seats in a seat-sharing pact in Tamil Nadu.
The Tamil Nadu chief minister has told the CPM and CPI that she is willing to give them only a seat apiece to contest in her state. The Left parties had in February announced that they were extending to this year's elections, their alliance with her
When leaders of 11 regional parties met in Delhi on February 25 to announce the alternative front being mentored by the Left, Ms Jayalalithaa did not attend. She sent a representative.
Cracks were visible even as leaders like Mulayam Singh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party and Nitish Kumar of the Janata Dal (United) put up a show of strength.
Naveen Patnaik's Biju Janata Dal, or the BJD, and the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) skipped the meeting.
Ms Jayalalithaa, like many other constituents of that front, has prime ministerial ambitions.
Third front should be called as Joker's Front :D

I think the third front is nothing but a bunch of parties that are willing to be bought by any group (UPA or NDA) who want to form the govt.
