Wireless router issues with ACT broadband

Hi,

I recently bought a wireless router (ASUS RT-N10E) so that my laptop can have wireless internet access. This is the network setup:


ACT Broadband(RJ45)
||
||
Wirelss Router ))))) LAPTOP(WLAN/WiFi 2.4GHz)
||
||
DESKTOP( RJ45 Physical LAN1)


The internet works if the router is set on AutoIP and everything works perfectly.
The problem is the internet doesn't work if the router is setup in PPPoE mode with the user name and password (As per ACT tech support it should be setup in PPPoE mode.). Any ideas as to why its not working in PPPoE mode?
