HTC, a global leader in mobile innovation and design, today unveiled the HTC One™ X+, a refreshed version of its award winning HTC One™ X smartphone, running the HTC SenseTM 4+ experience on Android™ Jelly Bean.

Featuring a 1.7 GHz quad-core NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 AP37 processor and 64GB of internal storage, the HTC One™ X+ LTE version is up to 67% faster than the HTC One™ X1 LTE, making the HTC One™ X+ the best rated Android phone on the market.

In addition to its increased performance speeds, the HTC One™ X+ introduces extended performance with the inclusion of a 2100 mAh battery, giving you up to 50% (6 hours) more talk time, and longer to browse the web and enjoy your favorite music and videos2.

The newly launched Self Portrait mode on the front camera helps you capture high quality photos by intuitively detecting the human face at various angles and applying subtle enhancements to skin and eyes. Sightseeing mode makes sure you'll always be ready to capture the moment - one touch of the power button bypasses the lock screen and launches directly into the camera. Two new views in Gallery display images and videos and group them according to where and when they were taken.

Making it easier to listen to music out loud, and through SenseTM 4+, the HTC One™ X+ introduces a new Tap and Go function, which allows you to connect the phone and your music to Beats speakers'4 when you tap them. To disconnect, it is just another quick tap.

A new feature in the HTC One™ X+ is HTC Get Started, a new web service that guides the user painlessly through the set-up and personalisation process from a desktop web browser.

Why are they comparing it to the One X LTE? I highly doubt if its an LTE compatible phone. Because the original Tegra T30 on the international One X didn't support LTE which is why they switched to Krait for the US model.

Main difference seems to be a 200Mhz bump in clock speeds and better memory bandwidth. Also, the performance figures also seem a bit suspect because the US One X (S4) was faster than the International One X(T30) and based on specs, this (T33) should be marginally faster than the International One X, so no reason why it should be much faster than the One X LTE(S4).

HTC One™ X+ LTE version is up to 67% faster than the HTC One™ X1 LTE

they seem to compare the lte editions of the two models. 😕

The non-LTE One X+ includes the same GSM/EDGE and WCDMA bands as the previous international version (850/900/1900/2100 MHz for WCDMA, 850/900/1800/1900 MHz for GSM/EDGE) and of course the same HSPA+ capabilities since it includes the same Intel XMM6260 baseband. I don't have any word at the moment on what LTE bands will be supported on the One X+ with LTE, but with MDM9215 and possibly WTR1605 we could see more than the One XL. Qualcomm's MSM8960 SoC contains the same IP block that's inside MDM9215 and is still 28nm. It's interesting to see the One X+ using this combination as it may finally put to rest the talk of Tegra 3 being "incompatible" with LTE.

Looks like this does support LTE.

HTC would've been better off releasing a major upgraded version with quad core Krait processor like the Optimus G.

it has the best hardware specifications (processor wise) of ANY phone in the market. 1.7GHz quad core processor. RAM is 1GB though. But there is only one model which comes with 64GB storage. So, pricing is not really a shocker.

well it helps when there is no sdcard slot. some people need the additional storage. 🙂

Well its kind of a over kill and over priced for a phone , just my opinion. given the current trends , pricing at 40K that too in indian market ? good luck HTC.I saw in a video that when the Nex4 launches , majority of the phone prices will come down . So waiting a little bit longer , may be till Christmas, will be excellent time to buy new phone.

still not sure why you consider it overpriced.

it has the best display available on any phone in the market.
it has the fastest processor available on any phone in the market.
it has the maximum storage available on any phone in the market.

just because nexus 4 could be priced at around 25K does not mean that a device with high end specification should go for a cheaper price tag.

And 40k is MRP. it should sell at prices comparable to S3 or NoteII.
