No Vodafone 3G icon on iphone 4s

Hi,My iPhone does not show 3G icon whenever 3G is enabled. I have also activated 3G data plan but still it shows "E" i/o of 3G.Surfing the net deducts MB balance from the 3G plan but the speed is not as per 3G. Just 0.19 Mbps.Is there any settings needed to turn on 3G using the phone or from Vodafone.Pl help.Thanx

Hello Vel India,I have spoken with Vodafone cc and now I am getting 3g signals on my iPhone. The signals are very poor (just 2 bars) and switches to "E" frequently.Can you please confirm that whenever there is no 3g signal will I be charged according to the 3g data plan or as per GPRS tariff.
