fibre optic router + wifi adsl modem net problem

I have a fibre optic router connected with a wifi adsl modem..if i connect my laptop directly to the fibre optic router net works fine but if i use wifi then net sometimes works sometimes it doesn't. same thing happening with my other laptop. I just got mtnl optic fibre broadband installed i think there is some configuration problem on the wifi adsl modem. can someone help me in this regard? this problem has been since i got it installed. (Did not notice this problem in front of the installation guy or i would have asked him to fix it)

I will do once i get the hold of things....anyways the picture doesn't seem too rosy with MTNL's ftth
