Hi,
I would like like to know that whether it is possible to assign a custom gateway to router or not ...
I am trying to route my traffic from other gateway (friend's gateway)
I am using DNA-A211 Type-II modem ..
Here is the SS of router

but when I come to configure the gateway I get following error
Default Gateway Configuration Error

Configure default gateway failed.

route: SIOC[ADD|DEL]RT: Network is unreachable.

Click on "Back" button to configure default gateway again.

And I am able to ping the other gateway IP
Have a look
C:\Users\Pc>ping 117.194.64.1

Pinging 117.194.64.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 117.194.64.1: bytes=32 time=67ms TTL=249
Reply from 117.194.64.1: bytes=32 time=67ms TTL=249
Reply from 117.194.64.1: bytes=32 time=66ms TTL=249
Reply from 117.194.64.1: bytes=32 time=68ms TTL=249

Ping statistics for 117.194.64.1:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 66ms, Maximum = 68ms, Average = 67ms

So is it possible to assign other gateway ?
I am doing this because I get assigned a gateway IP [117.219.224.1]
And I get higher pings in CS 1.6 servers [~80-100ms]
and the gateway my friend using [117.194.64.1]
gets ping ~40-60ms
One more thing sometime I get ping ~60ms but only for few seconds and then it again jumps to 80+ and due to this ping Gaming experience suffers.

So if their is a way to reduce ping then please reply.. I can provide any detail regarding modem, connection etc as per need

It is not possible, at least as far as bsnl and bharti are concerned.
