modem/adaper problem ?

hey guys ,I hv been facing a problem with my internet.it seems to be from my modem/adapter. The lights of power and dsl seem to be fine and stable while internet and lan keeps flickering on broadband usageand hv serious jitters with upload and download during games.I hv a adsl2 + cpe/router (bsnl)model (s4u+1.0)well i want to know whether its the modem or the adapter causing this for replacement1> i hv tried tcp configure's and etc...2> lines to the modem r ok

What kind of problem are you facing ?

Well i am a gamer and i had good connection for 2 years now having huge jitters at my upload tat is
the upload rate is not constant and there are breaks at my connections causing huge spikes and freezes.Cant't play a damn game even cs
just spiking a lot but download rate seems to be fine though
there also i see the internet and lan leds of my modem flashing at broadband usage
is it my adapter(power supply) or my modem that is cauing this
