Jelly Bean Update for Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I'm eagerly waiting for 4.2, largely due to enhancements like the new gmail app.I'm happy with JB on my NS, it did slowed it down initially, I had to then load a factory ROM which removed all the unnecessary apps.

My dad bought Galaxy nexus from Dubai around a month ago. He's still stuck on 4.0.4 and I don't know what to do.

Yeah I am thinking of doing that. Currently searching for easier method to change the build.

I have come across this one.

Even the non Yakju builds have got JB. Initially I was on a non Yakju build and had got the JB update.

Thanks. The next day I was finally able to change the build. Now 4.1.2 is installed. 🙂

If you can't update your Nexus to latest jellybean, then use Galaxy Nexus toolkit available on XDA forums, or flash a Custom ROM

I was able to update the phone to latest JB. BTW does anybody know where can I find the Galaxy nexus battery? Sometimes my dad goes out of battery within a day due to heavy usage. I thought maybe carrying an extra battery would be the solution for it. But I can't find the battery on Samsung India store website which is I think because of GN is officially not available here.

EBay would be the safest option... Otherwise any Indian site that keeps imported stuff and international websites that ship to India.🙂
