Well, it is supposed to be the the best edition just like Windows 7 Ultimate. So yeah, but the pricing looks absurd as it's limited to tablets.

errm. it is nowhere near to windows 7 ultimate. it is the tablet edition which is not going to be sold in the retail market at least for now. it does not feature support for regular windows apps. which means it should have been sold at much lower prices. 100 dollar per license means tablet makers would have to charge this much more for a windows rt tablet compared to an android tablet.

What you are talking about is a limitation of Windows RT, it cannot install Desktop Based Applications and the only way of getting apps for it is Windows Store, similar to Apples App store. But, the way Microsoft looks at it could be completely different 😀

does not make sense even then. microsoft is known to charge 20-30 dollars for oem licenses sold to manufacturers like Dell and HP. now these prices are purely speculative. and could be totally incorrect. i do not see 100 dollars for windows rt as a good price considering it is being sold to manufacturers and not consumers. even then, it is competing against android and ios which are totally free to consumers.
