Modem Configuration

hello,guys i had tried configuring my 'QUIDWAY WA1003A' modem for multiuse......including performing the step which involves taking out the adsl line and then reconnecting it after filling in all the setting....but something still seems to go wrong.....i am currently using windows xp.....am new to bsnl broadband....so please jot down each and every step and point..........thx a lot...... 🙂
 
^ do you mean that you want to connect 2 PCs to
the same modem so that you can simultaneously
use the internet ? we have already given the Link

dude...multiuse in the sense for connecting to diff pcs ....or using others idss...???? :mellow: ....i wanted the settings so that i could use others ids and passwords..(my brothers..whose id i suppose to know..)
 
^ it has been already answered . at a predetermined
time , you have to test it at a friend's system having
dataone connection .

i.e. Two persons should try to login to the same
account at the same time . if it is possible then you
have to find out what is wrong at your system !

you could have continued this at a previous topic .
And pls donot quote other's posts unnecessarily .
I'd suggest to edit your posts to remove quotes .

dude seshu....my friend CAN use my brothers id !!.....its just that i cant seem to get the settings right.......so if u can get me some links to the settings...then nuthing like it !!.....
 
^ to use your brother's dataone account on your
system , you do not have to change configuration .

you just have to change the user ID & password .
if user ID & password are correct , it should connect .

if it is not working , what error message you get ?

seshu......i really dun think i can connect to my brothers account by simply putting his username and password....i guess have to change some password something from the modem or sumthing......neways i did try connecting by just writng dwon his name and password and recieved a error 691...or error reading username and password..... 😱
 
you are using a shortcut on Desktop to connect
to the net . is it correct ?

ERROR 691 : Access denied because username and/or password is invalid on the domain.This error occurs because either the Username or password dialed by the user is not correct .
if you are sure that username & password are
correct then it might be that the account is used
by more than one person and it cannot connect
a new person to the same account !

man.....i don think it is possible cause....i guess ma exchange dude uses dat clip feature......
