^Or, as someone else rightly mentioned, the previous tariffs where you got 10mbit/s for the first 80GB then 1mbit/s after FUP 😀

I don't want to bash MTNL - building an FTTH network is a great thing and I'm happy to see them doing it - but with this pricing, what the hell are they thinking? How do they realistically expect anyone to take it up? What drugs are they on, and can I have some?
its some special drug . Imported my Mr. Sibbal . He is always high . No you won't get it .

Waiting for the day when fast internet comes to this place, and according to the latest policy, it says Minimum 2 Mbps will be considered as broadband and also with the introduction of ipv6 I hope to see some changes. Something on the lines of what mgcarley was talking about (local data vs international data).

would have been still fine if speeds after FUP were 4MBps would have worked fine by me !

Don't take any MTNL prescribed drugs or you will loose whatever competitive advantage you have.

This plan is for Politicians and their HD porn loving sons.
um i think politicians would have already have a dedicated 100mbps line direct from exchange to their homes like BSNL phone lines and they're using it for free since past few years

is FTTH an always on type of connection? would uptime be still dependent on the line quality? In other words, will there be disconnection issues due to rains, squirrels eating away at the or junction boxes? (oh yes :livid: )

1. Yes, it is.
2. No: with fiber it either works or it doesn't. There's no in-between.
3. If a squirrel eats at the cable (thereby severing it) then yes, the line will disconnect.

I don't know about Delhi but in Mumbai the squirrel population is increasing but nothing to beat the population numbers of the rats (four legged) 😀 :scared: lol

Come to hyd (beam fiber):3

or bangalore (ACT broadband) or spectranet

How much will be the installation and cable laying charges for connection from hyd / bangalore to New Delhi upto my society?
