Production companies WILL get many such orders in the future , as obtaining John Doe Order has become something integral part for the release of the movie. So , here is what you can do



[*]STOP watching those films , even however good it is or whoever acted in it .
[*]Call your ISP and ask why they blocked such and such site and tell them one legal manner in which you are using that site . Linux distro is good place to start.
[*]Threaten them that you are willing to disconnect if site isn't reinstated ASAP.
[*]Threaten them that you will also call your friends , relative who also own the same XZY ISP to disconnect
[*]Login into IMDB , review sites and down vote , leave a bad review like "This movie took away our internet " or something like that.
[*]Again , STOP WATCHING THOSE MOVIE ..

Unfortunately, points 2-4 wont work for MTNL and BSNL.Imagine explaining to the CC aunty what a linux distro is.

At least BSNL hasnt started blocking anything .. So it works both ways .. Complaints received takes time to compute for them , so is court order 😀 [touchwood]
 
talking to customer care on phone is not going to do anything. these are low level support people who do not have the authority to pass on anything to the senior management.
 
Its copyrightlabs.in - a site which got the order. They are claiming it was a mistake and the court directed the ISPs only to remove the content, not block the whole site itself #facepalm
 
ISPs cannot remove the content. right? they are claiming that they gave a list of individual links to infringing content but ISPs went ahead and blocked complete domains.

Its seems there is grey area. The order doesnt mention any specific list of sites. And there doesnt seem to any line mentioning that the copyright holder on providing a link/site needs to block. All it says is ISP should take care that it isnt spread.

Judge , if he had knew what and how internet is , would have asked "What contents and where are the contents and what is manner of blocking "

their website is currently down. i guess we can generate a list of websites 'protected' by them and give them poor ratings on sites like IMDB making our point. 😕

here are a bunch of movies. rated all of them as 1 star. apparently they are doing a remake of zanjeer. this alone makes them worthy of a 1 star rating.
