Bsnl new connection

Dear members,I am planning to purchase new BSNL broadband connection at my home.1) Modem: BSNL is also selling modem, but i saw a modem in flipcart "D-Link DSL-2520U ADSL2+ Ethernet/USB Combo Router" whether it works with BSNL broadband?2) if modem is ours then also we need to pay monthly charges?3) we dont have land line at home, so how much it costs total for me to get broadband connection including landline costs with modem/without modem.Thankd
 
If the router is yours no monthly charges. Total cost will depend on the plan you subscribe to

excluding plan how much it costs? like initial charges and deposits etc

Some circles offer waiver in initial charges, check local BSNL website for details. As for router it will work if it is an ADSL modem + router.

How about 512kbps unlimited plan whether its ok for video chat, my main purpose is video chat
 
I use to video chat with ULD 750 which gives 512 Kbps. There is a bit of lagging but works decently. But 1 Mbps would be better, see if you can get any ULD plans which has FUP .
