How to copy recorded programs?

friendsi have Tata Sky HD+ and recorded many videos, i want to copy it to my pc, is there any way out for it?Thanks

In Short, No. It uses hardware based encryption.

500gb hardware based encrypted hdd is pretty expensive...no wonder why the stb costs a fortune..and maybe, just take the existing hdd out and out in a simple unencrypted one? 😀 i wonder if that will work?

err, the HDD is a normal simple HDD. the STB uses hardware decoding on the fly when you are watching recorded programs.

yes it is possible tested provided u have to know how to break the code of the content 🙂

you can copy the files sure. All you will get are .ts files which will be encrypted feeds of the recorded files. you won't be able to play them.

How do the Uploaders encrypt them as we can see many files bearing different DTH logos online.

They record them manually using TV tuner cards is what I can speculate.
