Ping Issue

I am a gamer and i use UL750 plan , I'm from Bangalore .From the past 2 weeks i have noticed that ping to singapore(Garena) server has increased to 500-700 ms , before that it was 50-100 ms .Could some one tell me if and when this will be fixed.

Please post a traceroute to that server (tracert www.servername.tld or tracert 123.234.345.456).

Also, how are your pings to Indian servers (you can ascertain some approximate figures from speedtest.net or by pinging sites of companies such as BSNL, MTNL, Airtel, Beam Telecom etc), otherwise I can give you some IPs of servers in Delhi, Mumbai or Chennai.

Your pings within India seem fine enough, but it appears you are running this trace from a server in Dallas, TX, not from your BSNL Broadband connection - possibly you've gone to a website which does traces, and as such, the results are not making sense.

Please provide traceroute results from your local machine while it's hooked up to BSNL and while it is not utilizing some VPN or Tor or something.

Assuming you're using Windows, here are the steps:

1. Click Start, then Run
2. Type cmd and press enter

A box with a black background will come up

3. Type tracert -d 203.117.124.55

It will begin listing a whole bunch of numbers

4. Select everything by using your mouse to highlight the numbers, then press enter
5. Come back to this website, right click in the reply box and select "paste"
6. Click on "post quick reply".

If you're using a Mac, the steps are:
1. Go to "MAC HD" then "APPLICATIONS" then "TOOLS" and double click on "Network Utility"
2. Put the IP address (203.117.124.55) in the box and click "trace".

If you're using Linux, the steps are:
1. If it's not already installed, install Network Tools from the Add/Remove programs application.
2. Open Network Tools
3. Similar to a Mac, put the IP address (203.117.124.55) in the box and click "trace".

Alternatively

2. Open Terminal
3. Type traceroute 203.117.124.55 & press enter
4. When the trace is finished, copy & paste the information here as per steps 4-6 for Windows.
