Tablet PC as Car GPS?

why not go for a mapmyindia unit considering you need it for gps? it would cost as much or lower than low cost tablets.

mapmyindia units are pretty overpriced. they basically rebadge chinese OEM's and sell them at 2x the price.

Map My India isn't exactly cheap. While their devices serve their purpose well, for continuous map upgrades, there is a recurring fee. I still feel a large screen phone (Note?) is good enough for GPS as during driving one needs to focus mostly on the road and not interact with the device.

The Navigation reacts late and is inconsistent. In my Galaxy S, used to have lots of GPS connection lost, I thought it must be cos of GPS issue in I9000. But didnt have good experience with other android fone too...
