Now they have ads even on Start-up !!! This is just ridiculous !!

already they have 1-2 separate channels for just showing ads (loop) apart from ads in menu , channel info , and now start-up page.

Naveen its no use reporting it to airtel_presence if you really wanna fight it out drop in a complaint to pgpgortal.gov.in under Ministry of I&B.Plus they have even turned of recording
 
yup i know its useless , as people who are running are only directing users to CC ,which is much worse. I dont know how well its going to go with I&B. The new interface is loaded with ads and promos , where is the age old , simple channel changer ? Infact the menu is slower because , it has to loads these ads. The channel changing takes time .

Will try to drop a complaint.

Just got a call from airtel CC regarding this issue. Here is a gist

- He kept asking me what kind of ads i see ( funny , they are showing the ads and they dont know what they are showing)
- How often it changes (really ?)
- As usual , he said he will forward it to marketing dept , which is responsible for this

On another topic (subtitle)

- He doesnt know what a subtitle is ..
- says , airtel "RESEARCHED DEEP" (his words) and got feedback from customers to give subtitle
- when i told him there is a option in set top box o switch on/off the subtitle, he said , that its just my box ( I am given the GOLDEN STB 😀 😀 My Preciousssss..... )
- I asked him , what kind of " Deep Research" was carried on for showing ads ? He had no answer

I am the first customer to complaint about the ads it seems (According to him) , So I kindly ask all the fellow airtel dth users to call the airtel cc or tweet to https://twitter.com/#!/Airtel_Presence , they will get back to you, regarding this issue
 
According to several of such companies, Answering such question as "We are not going to do anything about it & continue to be ****** " is resolving the concern. Such representatives probably need to close the query/ticket to meet their SLA target - And hence, all sort of nonsense happens.
 
Tried to register my complaint at pgportal , wrote a nice description and while submitting , it threw some error and all of the written stuff is gone. Not in a mood to write it again , will do it tomorrow. Also whats with PDF only attachment ? why not txt , image files ? /facepalm .
 
whenever writing a long description always copy the content before submitting. better still, write it in a word processor. that's what i do most of the time. have lost too many long posts to browser/airtel errors.
