Martina Navratilova played till very late.. And unlike cricket, there is no pressure to retire. So, as long as he is playing better than the others....

Yep tennis doubles don't need you to be great player. (relatively speaking)

It does not need you to run, run, run like in singles. Points are normally short.

Paes, Bhupathi, Bryan brothers are examples. They are not great singles player but remained very strong for years in doubles.

If you have good hand eye coordination you can play for long in tennis doubles.

Navratilova case was different though - she used to play singles at old age! And also reach finals of grandslam.

Federer is only likely player who can match her in singles. He is still top 2 player at age of almost 34 and fit enough to play 3-4 more years. (May not win grand slams but can continue to play if he wishes)

Very good that he reached the 700 mark. Something distinct. Mahesh Bhupathi had reached the 600 mark first, and had been off from action for long time. Leander is playing with Nestor, who is equally aged and have a combined age addup of 84 years. Really seems like he needs to change his partnership to someone better and younger, at least not elder than him.

Yes but young players think same!! Why play with older man who has now lost his key ability for which he was known for!! 😀

Guys! Rohan Bopanna is playing Wimbledon Semi Final just in a moment. This is being streamed on Hotstar, and also on Star Sports. Let's hope that he makes it to the Final, and also win it.

Bopanna Lost. Such a unlucky guy in the tour. He is capable of lot, but just isn't able to make a cut.

Wish he wins some more grandslams before he retires.
