Fast Downloads, Slow Video Streaming

From the title of this thread, you may have figured out the weird issue I am facing from 3-4 days. Browsing, direct downloads and torrent traffic is speedy as usual but video streaming is pathetic. The video buffers even on 240p. Vimeo is doing fine but streaming on Dailymotion and YouTube is slow as hell. This is happening on each and every browser.Here are details of my plan & hardware:- DSL_Unlimited 1333 (1mbps in the mornings and 2mbps after 8:00 PM)- Linksys WAG120N- Windows 7 x64Things I tried to solve this issue:1. Restarted Windows/Browser/Router.2. Cleared cookies, cache of each and every browser.3. Reinstalled Adobe Flash.4. Changed the DNS to OpenDNS which solved my issue for 2-3 hours and after that I was back to square one. Also tried Google DNS which actually slowed my downloads a bit.5. Disabled Wifi.6. Selected the option "Obtain DNS Server address automatically".None of the above methods solved the issue. I suspect that there is something to do with the DNS. I am using MTNL's DNS (59.185.3.10, 59.185.0.23)Any heads up?
 
are single stream downloads (via browser) also at ok speeds? or are you talking about multi threaded downloads. Also, post a speedtest from 3-4 different locations.

also go here: YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.. open the test video and note the avg. streaming speed.

also post a tracert to youtube.com.
 
Try using Hotspot Shield and post results.
I cant foresee any situation in which that would improve his speeds. that would just introduce another bottleneck.

The speed test on youtube didn't work for me. It just showed the video and nothing else. Tried it in Firefox, IE, Chrome.

Well, I faced the same issue on MTNL 3G Good download speeds but YouTube buffering, it helped. Just that.
 
I tried downloading via browser (single-stream download) and the speed idled at 190kBps whereas with IDM it idled at 230KBps.
