When I say minimal specs, I mean a 1GHz Snapdragon SoC (MSM8255), 4GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, and a basic 5-megapixel camera with autofocus. The 4.3-inch display is a standard LCD that does an acceptable job of color reproduction but its blacks are grey and the viewing angles leave plenty to be desired. Web rendering suffers from aliasing and the battery is a frugal 1,400mAh unit.

Though most of what it offers falls in line with WP hardware requirements -- 800 x 480 display, 512MB RAM -- the processor's been bumped from 1GHz to 1.4GHz, giving the 4.3-incher a welcome speed boost. Interested parties can also look forward to a 5-megapixel rear shooter, 4GB of storage, as well as black and white color options.

Consistent with the UK version of the handset, the Windows Phone 7.5 device features a 4.3-inch TFT display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and a 5-megapixel camera — the processor, on the other hand, has received an upgrade from 1GHz to 1.4GHz. The Tania is available exclusively with carrier China Unicom.
