I got the same message on the 3rd of Jan (though at 7:52pm)! I was also like "WTF?" - I hadn't given any such request. In fact I was either at the end of month 1 or start of month 2 of my 3G plan. I called them up and they said that according to their systems, there was no issue and the 3G plan I had chosen was active on my number. They guy had no explanation to offer but that it was perhaps a glitch. I guess we'll see when the billing happens!
