Bajaj Auto unveils ultra low-cost car RE 60 - Auto - Cars - ibnlive
India's Bajaj Auto, the country's second largest bike maker, unveiled a low-emission car - RE 60 - the company's first product for the car segment.
The RE60 has high fuel-efficiency ratios, the company said in a promotional video. Engineered with an 800 cc engine, the car is claimed to have a mileage of close to 40 km per litre.
Slated to be launched this year, its engine is a new water cooled DTSi 4 (Digital Twin Spark Ignition) valve and is believed to be giving a maximum speed of 70km per hour. The car can accommodate four people.
