Here is something to think about. I also had a problem with my TS+ HD box. I've got a replacement box. But it's a company policy to provide refurbished set top boxes, not the brand new box packs. So all the replacement boxes
Tata Sky provides are repaired boxes. They say that they have done all kind of tests on it and after that they are providing it. But still it's not a brand new box.
And to my surprise, my replacement box was suffering with the same issue. My TS+ HD still works very slow for first 10 minutes in the morning when I am starting it for first time in a day. And yes they are having shortage of replacement boxes of
Tata Sky+ HD. But if anyone wants to buy a new TS+ HD box, then they provide is right way within 24 hours. So they are actually running out of refurbished boxes.
If customer has given around 4k money for this HD DVR box and unfortunately if the device is faulty then he/she is entitled to get a brand new device not the refurbished one.
Same issue with SD Tata Sky+ as well, paid 10k to get it. freezing etc started from day 1, especially while using the record function & it took me a long time(i think about 8-10 months) before i could get a replacement because the issue was very intermittent, i had to record how the box freezes & even take photographs of the issue to prove that the problem existed. Otherwise the Tatasky engineer would just reset & format the STB & say the issue is resolved whenever they came over, like most of you know we first need to talk to & convince the Tata Sky Phone representative & then comes the service engineer - i did this several times & had to be very persistent to get the box replaced. The replacement box they provided was refurbished & had similar problems but by this time i had given up on Tatasky even discontinuing their service for quiet sometime but had to get back to them because i had 1 Tatasky+ SD along with 3 normal STB & buying same equipment from another provider would cost me a lot, but based on online review may still not provide any better service than Tata + local cable service is pathetic. Till date my secondary Tatasky+ SD has intermitent freezing etc issues but i now use HD+ for the living room - also freezes etc at times but a lot better than SD+ & issues normally gets fixed after a cold restart, i think this was happening on my old box also - hoping history does not repeat itself.

Hardik7 : The HD+ box does work slower than normal for the first 10 mins of boot, it's considered to be normal as per Tata etc, used to the case with my Tatasky SD as well, but this usually happens if it's a Cold restart(as in you turn of the main power to the STB & turn it back on), The Tatasky engineer back then had suggested me to just leave the STB on standby mode instead of turning Off from mains(as in use the turn off button on the remote but leave it connected to the wall socket & still switched ON) - in fact several Tatasky Engineer & Support Reps on phone had suggested this to prevent delayed startup's etc. Hope this helps
