Phone Dead But Net Working (albeit Intermittently)

Dunno wat the hell is happening, but my phone is dead(no dialtone) but im able to connect net & surf(tho the link keeps getting lost ) Jai ho MTNL baba ki..

This is because normal phone frequency is different than ADSL frequencies.So i anything that causes interference for one frequence may not necessarily create interference for other frequency.Hence ur internet works

Anyways.. the lineman came & the problem was that the 2 phases of the line were touching each other!! still doesn explain why the net worked? Coz this ws a physical problem in the line itself !!!

Same thing is happening with me for past 2 days no dial tone however broadband still work like ever. I have registered a complain however i don't expect anyone here soon After all its mtnl yaar :lol:
