Seems to be my laptop problem or something else?

I bought ZTE MF691 usb modem and installed on my laptop (win 7 ultimate), configured mtnl 3G sim (apn=gprsppsdel,username=mtnl,pass=mtnl123)

It gets connected and shows internet access but when i rt click and check on Status then its only receiving data , sent data is always 0.

If i click on diagnose then shows following:

Mention google DNS as one of the DNS...its some DNS issue...

you have to update the drivers for win 7 , plug the modem in, connect to net [ via different line] run windows update it will pick up the current modem drivers on it's own or go ZTE site and download drivers for win 7.

did you date the drivers or windows update dint find it, i had the same prob on a zte modem though a different service provider , i had to update modem drivers for win 7 ultimate 64 bits here, if windows update din't find any update just google the modem the name and you will find the latest drivers in my case my windows update found them.

Chalo, cool that your issue is solved now.Let me hijack this thread, which plan you are using and what is the cost of stick? 😀

I also have a laptop and I think I should get this.I can get a new 21mbps stick in about 3.5k at a store nearby and Rs 1650 plan looks complete VFM 🙂Is there any 3G router available in the market? That you would suggest?
