t took India nearly 22 years of playing ODI cricket to cross 300 for the first time in a matchand they were the last major cricket team to reach that score. Even Zimbabwe had achieved the feat many years earlier. But once there, India have now made scores of 300 or more, more times than any other team. The Mohali ODI provided the 65th such instance, and India have now overtaken Australia at 64. Here's a list of ODI teams that have crossed 300 in an ODI at least once.

Look at our bowling... 12 losses inspite scoring 300!! 😀

Interesting record but sad we lost more matches than any other team in the category but still a great feat achieved. I guess we could get a clearer picture if the total number of matches played was also added to this

I have to suspect the stats here. Coz Aussies......i cann recall 4 odd losses after scoring 300+ instantly. There has to be more losses than what i can recall!Once after scoring 434, once after scoring 350+, twice after scoring 330 odd........1st one was of course against SA, and the next 3 against Kiwis. And these stats just list out 4 losses! :O

I think cricinfo states are pretty accurate. Esp. last 10-12 yr record wud be very accurtate because those all matches wud be updated in real time via computer.

Also there can be mistakes in individual scores or wickets.

But mistake in total score is very unlikely.

----------

Here is cricinfo statsguru query that I ran.

ESPN Cricinfo Statsguru - Australia - One-Day Internationals - Team analysis

So, Indian Cricket Team is back in action and new topic for discussion. 😛

That means i have witnessed all four matches in which Aussies have lost after scoring 300+.Or it can be other way round may be? Whenever i witness, Aussies dont defend that 300+ score? They almost gave away that 350 run match to us in 2009. We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, thanks to Jaddu Sir, who became over-enthusiastic.

So, basically Aussies are likely to win when they cross 300, but if they do too well & cross 330, they have a small chance of loosing... 4 out of 29 games....

And if they cross 400, they lose it sureshot!! 😀 I dont remember if they have made 400, after that 434 game.

No.. they have not

----------

9 scores of 400+ (India 3, SL 2, SA 2, Aus 1 , Nz 1)

Yeah, so that means if Aussies score 400, they are sure to lose! And in 400 too, we have most scores past 400! Achievement to be noted down!

As far i know regarding Aus after scoring 300+ and loosing i remember the 434 run they scored against SA and they lost it...

----------

Indian have more losses after scoring 300+ but i guess most of the loss comes from chasing 300+...

I remember Indians were very late to touch the 300 mark in ODIs. But once they did, they started doing good.

Even I am confused abt aussies. 434 match they lost and the series in NZ before 2007 WC where they lost all three matches after scoring 300+.

It means they did not lose any match after that? I guess a recent match in Vizag where Kohli scored a century...

----------

my bad. Checked it in Cricinfo, seems its true 🙂

Actually, we just missed out chasing 350 in 2009. Had a golden chance, good start, collapse, strong recovery & then throwing away.
