I had the same issue. Remote would work sometimes for a few min and stop and sometimes it would never work. Called customer care on Sat afternoon. Executive was at my place by Sat evening. Tried a new remote. Did not work. It was a box problem. Sunday morning he came with a new box and installed it. Worked fine since then. There were no charges since i was a mega pack subscriber. So the engineer visit and box replacement were all free. If you are not a mega pack subscriber and it is more than one year since you got the box, the charges would be 75Rs for remote replacement and 325 for box replacement. Not sure if engineer visit is charged separately. As much as I am angry with TS for dropping 3 malayalam channels, their customer support is still pretty good.
