Exactly how many years it takes to activate IDEA 3G

In order to activate 3G all we have to do is sms'ACT3G' to 12345'3G' to 54777 (without quotes)I've tried both and there is no reply from IDEA nor 3G is activated.Now I know for sure that there is 3G access available to me in my city (my neighbour uses IDEA 3G)Also I have 3G enabled mobile.It's already been 5 dayz how much time it takes to activate 3G.

Call 198 and create a service request. Took 24 hours to activate 3g in my case.

i assume that u r on 2G network.call the CC and go in 3G menu of IVR.There would be some option to activate it , some sms

At last it activated I waited for 6 days.Speeds are good 5.6Mbps
