Alonso would accept Vettel - Domenicali

Stefano Domenicali believes that Fernando Alonso would have no reservations about Sebastian Vettel joining Ferrari in the future.

Speculation is ongoing about who will partner Alonso in 2013 as Felipe Massa's contract runs out at the end of next season. Vettel has admitted that he would like to drive for Ferrari one day, and after he won in Monza in September he said "The only thing that could make it better is probably wearing a red suit".

After Vettel became a double world champion on Sunday, Domenicali said he felt Alonso would not object to Vettel being his team-mate.

"Would Alonso accept it? I think so, I think it could work," Domenicali told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "Fernando's strength is that he is not afraid of anyone, a force that comes from his maturity."

However, Domenicali said that 2012 would be the opportunity for Massa to stake his claim for a new deal, while he also believes Lewis Hamilton is coveting the seat.

"[Massa] will do everything to prove what he has to Ferrari, and the other drivers with contracts expiring will want to prove that they are ready to come. Among those, probably, is Hamilton."

Vettel's first GP win was in a Torro Rosso, not really a fast car. He showed enough class in Torro Rosso, that is the reason he was drafted into RedBull.Considering his class, he may never be required to drive a slow or average car. Major constructors will be happy to sign him.

The point which Ross Brawn is making that when his current team or even when he joining a new team like McLaren or Ferrari unfortunately if he is having a winning car it will show his character interms of driving...last year hamilton did not had the winning car but lost a bit of a character in driving....

See the difference between Alonso and Massa on the same car....

Have been to a practice session earlier this year on one of the Grand prix. Was a great experience. Looking forward to watching the qualifying and race this time at bic.

Hmm...Yes the thread title needs to be changed....Funds are always important for developing a F1 Team....I have in next 2 years SFI should be in a position to get into top 5 Teams in the Grid...they should be moving forward rather than backward....
