A total of 323 high capacity telephone lines in a house? The CBI is understood to be investigating the alleged installation of this many telephone lines at the Chennai residence of former telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran.

Those were lines from BSNL, which he somehow (allegedly) managed to install at his home, don't know why!

The last paragraph states that these are ISDN lines.


The second case relates to the ‘323 telephone lines’ in Dayanidhi Maran’s house, which were allegedly provided to further the business interests of his brother Kalanithi Maran’s Sun TV Network. The tele lines ran from Dayanidhi’s house to the television channel. The CBI has sought documents relating to sanction of these ISDN lines which carry massive amount of data.

They were used for uplinking Sun TV channels. A clear misuse, rather fraud.........
