Is the activation Card required while installing Airtel Digital TV HD

Dear Friends,I bought a Sony bravia with which an airetl digital tv HD connection was given free.But, the shopkeeper forgot to give me the activation card, instead h gave the serial no and activation PIN over phone.My question is that, when the airtel technician will come to install the connection, is the card necessary.I have already told the airtel customer care the serial no and activation PIN while registering for the installation.I have the serial no and activation PIN with me but not the card.Regards,Soumyadip Sen.
 
I think card (which in inserted in STB) is required. Because Airtel (& all DTH) send activation to particular card over the air for some time period (24~48 hours). Card should be inserted during that time in STB to pick activation code.
