Am a beam customer from malkajgiri area and am quite happy with my beam! Am on Rs1000- 10Mbps plan!While direct downloads am getting 1.2MBps with internet download manager and while i dont upload much..the upload sppeds are in the range of 5-6 mbps! But the problem starts when i registered myself in a torrent website...when ever i download torrents....speed is 700-800kbps and in some good torrents i get 1.1MBps speed but its the upload thats sucking! mostly upload is some 400 Bits and sometimes 1 kbps during download and its 15-20kbos during seeding! Due to this my ratio of downloads/uploads is getting affected!i even checked the setting...theres no upload restriction in my utorrent client :_Any suggestions.?! 😱

Are there enough leechers to seed back to ? Check the seeder:leecher ratio on that particular torrent. Is it 1 or close to 1 or may be 2 , if there are like 1000 seeders and 25 leechers then you just wont be able to seed to them. Choose your torrent wisely.

Then try using another BitTorrent client..!!

Thats where the problem lies. The top torrents are usually saturated to the brim with seeders in thousands and leechers in few hundreds. When there are like 30 seeders feeding one leecher, it will be difficult to connect to that leecher.
Choose smaller torrents which have like 100 seeders and 40 leechers or something on these lines. ALways download the latest torrents from the first page itself.
Just to cite an example if I were in your place I would have chosen the following torrents to seed -- >

I have a "super-fast" connection, and I still have to let my torrents seed for ages to maintain a good ratio (interestingly though, one private tracker nearly banned me recently because they suspected I was cheating with my upload speeds - showing them what my connection was actually doing resolved that situation though).
Some torrents simply seed more quickly than others because they're more popular (duh), others stay at or near zero because they're just not interesting to anyone else except weirdos like me 🙂
There's no way of telling what kind of ratio a torrent will give you after seeding it for 8 weeks because obviously, popular ones have hundreds of other seeders and not popular ones are... not popular.

wow! imgur is messed up right now! @on-topic: but i would be in big trouble if my dad saw what i download from net! (its not porn trust me🙂 So i usually download in the night and let it seed the whole night and i delete the torrent in the morning 🙂
