Its in kannada language. It shud be called "Namma Metro", Namma means our. But it is written Naama, which means something put on the forehead (called Naamam)

Naamam or Thiruman in Tamil is the vaishnavite symbol on the forehead (Lord Balaji in Tirupathi or Lord Reganatha in Srirangam etc)
In colloquial Tamil if some one says "Namatha podura " (In verb) means cheating (not paying borrowed funds!:rofl:
