Mobile Signal Boosters

Does anyone here take help of a private booster in their office or business for better reception?are you satisfied with it...for what money you have paid for it?I would like to hear from someone who owns a business and has tried a booster for better coverage in their office or shop or godown?i am asking this question because,boosters currently being used are expensive and 90% are imported from china..Not that they are bad..but i was thinking..what if they are made locally and the technology is made avaliable at cheaper rates...me and few of my friends are giving this a serious thought..about developing something.

Hell no, i was saying that because he has a persistent signal problem with his mtnl 3g connection. Check the 'mtnl 3g jadoo user experience' thread for more.

well there aren't many antenna sellers here in India...


its not easy to make good antenna.and there arnt really that many antennas buyers so u will need to keep ur prices pretty down to sell more ..have u ever used any btw or even made one 😛 ?

Used?yes for testing them before they are fitted for customers and giving them a demo.

Made?No,never made one.it is my ambition though to make one .

Antennas are not a problem,i know a few companies who make good antennas and can give a tough competition to chinese and israeli antennas.Dome,omni,panel,just name it and these guys will provide you good antennas with decent gain at a modest prize.

booster is basically amplifier.Yes you can get a booster for 3G which operates at 2.1GHZ.But an amplifier needs a signal to amplify,if there is no signal for kms of area,no booster in the world can help you,Unless you are ready to pay for the wiring from the nearest area where signal is available to your problem area,but thats not practical

One of the mobile repairs shop i visit has a booster installed .. his shop is in the basement .. and they get full strength signals for Idea ... it looks like some serious stuff .. as big as a DTH STB.. and has a thick cable running through it .. will get the details from him in terms of cost etc when I visit them next time ..

yes mobile signal boosters are a boon if you are operating from basement.But the prices are high.say a single band booster comes at around 20k.Now businessmen have to decide weather their call drops cost them in lakhs,then only they will opt for this,else you have a land line type booster too for 5k but its available only for single user.

In electronic city,banglore,you might find it,but you need a specialist to fit it.booster is all about positions of antennas.an experienced guy can save you thousands with his perfect positions of booster antennas for maximum effeciency

I have not seen a local company producing booster.If you are the only user in your home,then i can give u a cheap solution for it.

Buy 6db omni power antenna from market and an antenna adapter for your mobile.

Fix the omni antenna at a place where you get signal and connect the antenna to your mobile antenna adapter using rg-8 coaxial cable.job done....
