surprising nobody found this config incredible especially in the yr 2011..those are actually the specs of the oldest PC that i have that still runs..in reality i use a C2D E8200..
 
I actually had a non tech-savvy neighbor approaching me to "fix" up a similar PC for him - :O . Had to convince that I am no hardware expert & neither can I make it run Windows XP (or was it Vista) - to avoid him buying a new PC for his son...

If memory serves right (This was a year ago)

256 MB Ram, 4.3 GB HDD, Pentium 1 - do not remember the Mhz , night be 500ish, No Graphics Card, 14'' CRT, plain keyboard & mouse, CD ROM.
 
umm..yes it runs win 98 SE okay..struggles a bit with win 2000..xp would bring it down to its knees
 
I am intending to do a full-upgrade in the first quarter of 2012.. So will be revisiting with my requirements & suggestions from all the "experts"
