Less Speed on BSNL UL 499

Hi Friends,

I am getting less speed on my connection UL 499..

I am supposed to get 256Kbps but I am get only about 170-180Kbps

Please give me suggestion how I can improve my speed as I'm new to BSNL.

Post your line stats.
 
Check your SNR and Attenuation values. You need to change your line condition if it is bad.Also, speed tests can be deceiving. Try a download from Microsoft and report your speed.
 
1. Type 192.168.1.1 in your browser.

2. Enter ID and password as admin.

3. You will now see a page where you can get the values.

PS : Hope you tried a download from MS.
 

SNR seems to be very low. Get your line checked by the line man. Make sure the line has no joints, non insulated / non oxidised parts.
